UIC Shooting! - Breaking News Shooting In UIC Building

VIDEO! Watch breaking video in from the UIC shooting. A UIC shooting at the student center inside the University of Illinois Chicago happened late today. No injuries are reported. The shooting resulted in police doing a floor by floor search.

The location: Student Services Building. The time: 2:40 p.m. Witness reports: repeated gun fire shots.

No university text alert system was implemented for students. Watch breaking video from UIC moments ago from local NBC affiliate.

Police swarmed the University of Illinois at Chicago campus after receiving reports of shots fired in the Student Services building. But after a comprehensive search of the area, Chicago Police do not believe there is a gunman in the neighborhood.

The Chicago Police and University Police responded to the Student Service Building in response to the reports of gun fires at about 2p.m. However after conducting investigation in the premises there were no evidence of gunfire.

UIC Shooting may not be true at all. According to reports, the only time that a gunfire was shot in certainty was when one of the UIC's campus officers accidentally discharged his gun into the ground.

Up to this time investigation is on going so let's see the progress of this story later.
